   ICED LEMON GREEN TEA

I’m not a green tea fan (Gary drinks it plain and unsweetened almost daily), but this recipe is good with its lemony tartness and light honey flavor. You can increase the amount of honey if you like your tea sweeter.

1. Bring to boil in a medium saucepan:

4 cups water

2. Turn off heat and drop in:

5 green tea bags

3. Cover and let steep for one hour.

4. Stir into warm tea until dissolved:

1/3 cup honey

1/3 cup lemon juice (fresh-squeezed is best)

5. Pour into 2-quart pitcher and add enough cold water to fill to the 2-quart mark. Chill and serve over ice cubes. Makes 2 quarts.

Iced Lemon Green Tea

Green tea is commonly thought to have more  antioxidants than black tea.
