TROPICAL SMOOTHIE

Of all the juice/fruit combinations we've experimented with, this simple tropical blend is my personal favorite. You can make this smoothie with canned pineapple, but fresh pineapple makes a world of difference.

1. Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds:

½ cup apple juice concentrate

2 cups fresh pineapple chunks

1 large banana, sliced

8 ice cubes

2 Tbsp ground flax seed (optional)

2. Add apple juice (diluted) if desired for thinner consistency. Yields two tall glasses.
