STEAMING WASSAIL

This delicious warm beverage has been a traditional part of our winter holidays for years. Loaded with Vitamin C, it's also great for fighting off those winter head colds.

1. Heat over medium-high heat in a large pot or slow-cooker (do not boil):

½ gallon apple cider

2 cups orange juice

½ cup lemon juice

1 cup water

2. Stir in:

          ½ cup Wax Orchards Fruit Sweet

3. Tie spices in a cheesecloth and add to cider mixture:

1½ tsp ground nutmeg

1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

1 Tbsp whole allspice

1 Tbsp whole cloves

4. Turn heat to lowest setting to keep wassail warm. After an hour, remove bag of spices.

5. Refrigerate any unused wassail and reheat later. Serves 10-12.
