   TURKEY MUSHROOM BURGERS

There are some things Gary misses that he'll probably never eat again. Every time we drive by a fast food burger place he inhales wistfully, but these turkey burgers served on a whole wheat bun and slathered with mushrooms and onions are tastier than any fast food burger I’ve ever eaten!

1. Set out vegetables and condiments:

Tomato slices

Red onion slices

Garlic dill pickle slices

Raw spinach leaves

Avocado slices

Olive slices

Vegenaise

Dijon mustard

2. Shape 1¼ lbs of ground turkey into four patties. Place in large skillet over medium to medium-high heat; season with Mrs. Dash’s seasoning and garlic salt. Cook on both sides until done, seasoning as you turn them.

3. Meanwhile, sauté over medium-high heat in 1 Tbsp Earth Balance butter spread:

          2 cups sliced mushrooms

          1 cup chopped white onion

4. Remove patties from heat and drain on paper towel.

5. Place patties on whole wheat hamburger buns spread with condiments. Top with cooked mushrooms and onions, and the fresh vegetables … oh, and a side of Country Fries.
