EDISON SNO-PARK
There are a couple trails at Edison Sno-Park designed for snow-shoers only. One is a 2.5-mile loop labeled more difficult and one is a 3.5-mile loop considered most difficult, the difference being the amount of up and downhill trekking. |
| The trails take you across open terrain, over and around lava flows (watch out for hollow spots), and through stands of Lodgepole and Ponderosa pine. |
| Gary, fearless leader that he is, scouts out the lay of the land. |
| |
Part of the fun of snow-shoeing - vs. hiking - is you can go off trail and not worry about disturbing the flora or fauna. |
I tried to get Gary to snowshoe across the fallen log you see in the lower left-hand corner. I thought it would make a great action photo, but he didn't fall for it. :)
