DORIS LAKE

There is a series of several lakes accessible from the Six Lakes Trailhead parking area. If you look at a map, you could count well over 15 lakes of all sizes, so we're not sure why it's named Six Lakes. Doris Lake is the second on the trail. It is within easy walking distance from the parking area with a nice little beach area for children. |

The trail takes you through timber and across a couple small creeks. They say following a year with heavy snow fall, the mosquitoes are more abundant in the spring & summer. We certainly experienced an abundance of the little critters on this hike. |
About 1 mile in, you catch a glimpse of Blow Lake through the trees. |
Blow Lake also has a small beach for wading.

In all our hiking, we don't remember any other stone bridges ... so were intrigued by this one.

On the way back, we caught glimpses of Mt. Bachelor through the trees. |
